La Bohème

Great little place, the chef / owner is ....how can I say.... Unique. His delight at us enjoying the food , he clearly loves what he is doing. Slightly expensive but lovely decor. You MUST phone for a table first as he turns away non reservations even when the place is virtually empty. It's a must try when visiting Djerba

If you're craving an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than La Bohème. We sadly didn't eat at the restaurant but we made a delivery. We ordered the salade mechouia which was out of this world, perfectly seasoned, fresh and delicious. We also ordered shrimp pasta, it was a perfect harmony of succulent shrimp, al dente pasta, and a luscious provincial sauce that dances on your palate. The shrimp are cooked to perfection—juicy and tender, with a delightful hint of garlic that complements their natural sweetness. Each bite is a testament to the chef Sadok's skill, ensuring the seafood is neither overcooked nor underwhelming. You can tell by the empty plates how much we liked & enjoyed our food. I highly recommend this restaurant and big thanks to chef Sadok

Imagine you find out you have a long lost Tunisian uncle. You travel to meet him for the first time and he welcomes with you with open arms into a courtyard of olive trees that feels like a place that can only be described as home. He serves you the best food you’ve eaten in Tunisia and you chit chat until night. One of my favorite restaurant experiences ever in all my travels. A meal that fills your heart as much as it fills your stomach.

The ambience and the food was excellent! I definitely recommend this spot for anyone traveling to Djerba make sure to call ahead and make a reservation.

Had the most magical last night in Gerber with my group of friends at this place in the house is the most wonderful man. He is so sweet and amazingly talented cook and his place has so much charm and exquisite beauty that is so authentic amazing place amazing food in an absolutely amazing host highly recommend!!!

We had a really good chorba, couscous and tajine on a set menu. The place was cosy and felt very authentic.

Wow! Just wow! We visited for my birthday & as traditional Tunisian goes we couldn’t have chosen better! You must make sure you have GPS available or you will easily miss the entrance to this little gem - even local taxi drivers struggle to find it. The food was amazing, all home cooked and the idea of one menu was great! Sadok is the most darling man, he’s friendly and makes the experience feel like you’ve just come home from far flung lands to have dinner with family. With only 5 tables you get the feel that you’re sitting in Sadoks dining room. When we return to Djerba we WILL be revisiting. I shall be raving to people at our hotel about La Bohême! Thank you, Sadok, you made my birthday unforgettable.

We had a lovely meal here. I am gluten intolerant and was struggling to find gluten free options in Djerba. Contacted Sadok via WhatsApp and he explained he could offer chicken tagine with vegetables and potatoes instead of couscous. All was delicious - Sadok even opened up just for us during his holidays as we were flying home the next day!
